Congratulations to Leah Basford for being awarded the Lilly Scholarship!

Congratulations to Annalyn Markley of Centerville Senior High School who has earned national recognition in the 2014 Scholastics Art & Writing Awards. Annalyn has been identified by panels of creative professionals as the one of the most talented young artists in the nation. This year, almost 255,000 works of art were submitted. Only the top 1% were recognized at the national level. 

Annalyn Markely is a sophomore at Centerville who holds a 4.10 g.p.a. and is involved in many after school clubs which include: Art, French, and Drama. She also volunteers weekly at the Centerville Public Library in their Children's Department. Annalyn's goal after high school is to attend an art college that offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts and major in illustration.

Lydia Nevels - 1st place Behavioral Science Jr. Division, American Psychological Association Award for Top Achievement in Research, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association Award, and Top 10 Qualifier in Jr. Division and chosen as a representative for the State Science Fair and Engineering Fair of Indiana

Devin Frazier - 1st place Elementary Division

Jarrett Thornburg - 1st place Elementary Division, Science Yearbook Award, and Imagination Award

Luke Tinkle- 3rd place Elementary Division

Would you like to make a difference in the life of a child?
The Centerville schools are looking for adults who are able to spend 30 minutes once a week mentoring kids from Kindergarten to High School during the studentsí lunch period.
